Sounds.

A rafter creaks up above as an owl shifts her weight, eyes closed in sleep. Cobwebs surround her grey, feathered body. A serene peacefulness sweeps through as a horse nickers and tree sway contentedly. A musty, pleasant, animal filled smell lingers over the barn. A mouse rustles in her nest of hay, awaiting the arrival of her mouselings. Flies lazily hover over head, the mid-afternoon heat tiring them. A restless sheep baas, and then lays down, residing to chewing his cud. A new mother goat licks her young, and sighs. A loud squack awakens the sleeping owl as a chicken announces a laid egg. A series of loud clucks follow as she broods over it. Again, that home-like peaceful feeling sweeps over the residents of the barn.
